Every implant traced to a patient.

Scan the implant chairside. Kubo records the product, lot, serial, and expiration, links it to the patient, procedure, and site, and counts the placement in your usage reporting.

How Implants works

From the tray to the chart,
every device stays traceable.

Scan each device chairside. Kubo captures the identifiers, links them to the case, and writes the record to the chart. Included in the platform.

01

Capture at placement

Scan the device chairside. Kubo reads the product identifier, lot, serial, and expiration in one pass.

Device data captured
02

Link to the patient

The device is linked to the patient, procedure, and implant site. Implants, grafts, and membranes go on one case.

Patient, procedure, site
03

Write back to the chart

Lot and serial are written to the patient record with the operative report.

Roll into usage

Each placement counts toward usage by size, surgeon, and office.

Barcode scanning

Every identifier,
from one scan.

Product, lot, serial, and expiration are printed on every device. Kubo reads them off the barcode at placement, so nobody types a fourteen-digit number into the chart.

  • Nothing typed A lot number read off the barcode can’t be mistyped into the chart.
  • Scanned as it goes in The device is scanned when it’s placed, so the chart shows what was actually used.
  • New labels Confirm an unrecognized product once. Every future device from that line scans clean.

Device traceability

Trace every implant
from placement to recall.

Kubo links the product, lot, and serial to the patient, procedure, and implant site. One record serves clinical documentation and lot-level recall lookup.

  • A complete placement record Implants, grafts, and membranes documented by patient, procedure, and site for the operative report and restorative handoff.
  • Lot-level recall lookup Search a lot number to see affected patients, placement dates, sites, and surgeons. With the Inventory add-on, matching stock on the shelf appears too.

Years later, the record still answers: which device was placed?

Placement usage

What you placed,
without counting a shelf.

Every documented placement rolls up into usage by size, surgeon, and office, over any period. Included in the platform.

  • Order from what you place Usage by size gives you a reorder list based on last quarter’s cases.
  • By surgeon, by office See how placements split across your surgeons and locations.
  • No add-on required Usage comes from the placement record. Add Inventory only when you also want on-hand counts and valuation.

Implant Inventory

Track the cabinet,
not just the placement.

Everything above is included in the platform. Add Implant Inventory to manage the shelf: receiving, on-hand counts by location, par and expiration alerts, and the value of what’s in the cabinet.

Inventory add-on · Stock & expiration

What’s on the shelf,
and what’s about to expire.

Scan product in at receiving. Kubo keeps on-hand counts for each office, flags anything below par, and surfaces graft material before it expires.

Inventory add-on · Asset report

Know what the cabinet
is worth.

A typical surgical practice holds tens of thousands of dollars in implants and graft material. With the Inventory add-on, Kubo values it as product moves, not once a year.

  • Value that moves with each scan On-hand value updates per location as product is received and placed.
  • See the write-off coming Expiring and expired product, priced, before it’s written off.
  • No year-end count Year-end inventory becomes a report you run.
