December was about covering more of the visit — not just the exam, but the follow-up afterwards and the conversation at the front desk — and making the exam note itself read the way you would have written it.

Follow-up notes from audio

Record audio during a follow-up visit and Scribe drafts the note automatically. As with exams, the AI draft combines with whatever you enter in the form by hand, so a quick post-op check produces a complete, consistent record without retyping.

Patient conversation notes

Record a conversation with a patient and Kubo produces a summarized note with action items. It is built for the meetings that happen away from the chair — treatment presentations, financial reviews, and pre-surgical consultations — so what was discussed and what was promised are written down, and follow-up is easier for everyone.

A sharper exam note

• Clinical terminology. Everyday words become clinical ones automatically: “redness” is documented as erythema, “swelling” as edema.
• Past anesthesia history is now part of the anesthesia assessment.
• Past surgical history is captured in the medical review.
• Non-contributory medical history is recorded explicitly, so the note is clear about what was reviewed.
• Risk discussions are documented in more detail — retained root tips, permanent numbness, and the other risks you go over before consent.

Images in the note

Embed anesthesia records, pre-op photos, and x-rays directly into the clinical note PDF. Where your practice management system supports it, the attachments sync across with the note, so the visual record stays with the written one.

Procedures

• Dental implants. Both the Dental Implant and Immediate Dental Implant procedures now document a sinus bump.
• Ridge augmentation has expanded support for particulate grafts.
