Your own blocks, Quick Notes, and letters that post back

May added custom block templates with your own fields, Quick Notes for documentation that doesn't need a full visit, manual call logging that exports and syncs, and letters that log themselves as activity notes in your PMS when sent.

May was about the small documentation that happens between visits — a phone call, a quick observation, a procedure your practice does its own way — and giving each of those a proper home.

Custom block templates

Define your own procedure blocks with custom fields. They appear in the procedure selector alongside the built-in blocks, in the order you choose. See Templates.

Quick Notes

A lightweight note type for the small stuff: a phone conversation, a quick observation, an update between visits. No full visit required.

Better drafts

  • Non-surgical consult plans. Consult planning now supports non-surgical treatment.
  • Better note assembly. Newly generated sections are prioritized when a note is rebuilt, so your latest content is never buried.
  • Smarter template picks. Templates can specify when they should be used, and the recommender uses that to choose better.

Dialer

  • Manual call logs. Record calls that happened outside Kubo, with notes, by hand.
  • Export and sync. Call notes export to PDF or RTF and can sync to your PMS. See Dialer.

Letters

Finalize the way you want

  • Editable salutation and sign-off that stays in sync with the letter.
  • Attachment requirements. Require specific attachments before a letter can be finalized.
  • Choose or override the template for any letter, with an improved attachment experience.
  • Better data extraction. Letter templates now inform how Kubo extracts data for them, producing more accurate letters. See Letters.

Post back to your PMS

When a letter is sent, Kubo can log it as an activity note in Open Dental, WinOMS, PerioVision, or OMSVision.

Visits

  • Catch me up on the appointment card. One button opens a summary of the visit so far.
  • Modified Aldrete score in the discharge form and settings.

Referring doctors

  • Cleaner table and form. Office-only entries are allowed, and Kubo prompts you when a doctor has no contact info.
  • Copy office info from an existing doctor when adding a new one at the same practice.

Everything else

  • Faster syncing. Data syncs only what changed, so large practices see updates sooner. See PMS Sync.
  • Built-in feedback. Send feedback to the Kubo team directly from the app.
  • Better implant and product search.
