Kubo Dialer, and templates you edit in plain English

April launched Kubo Dialer — calls placed and received inside Kubo, with a shared queue and AI-drafted notes on every call — and a note template editor where you describe the change you want and Magic Edit makes it.

April was about the phone. Calls are a large part of the front desk’s day and, until now, none of them lived anywhere near the chart. That changes with the Dialer.

Kubo Dialer

Calling, inside Kubo

Place and receive calls without leaving the dashboard. Every call is logged with a full history, and status updates in real time across everyone’s screens. See Dialer.

A queue for the team

Assign calls to groups of users with queue rules, so the right people pick up the right calls.

Notes drafted by AI

Each call is transcribed and turned into a draft note that staff review and finish in seconds. No more retyping a conversation from memory. Kubo also recognizes when a call hits an answering machine and tracks it as voicemail.

Templates

An editor, and Magic Edit

Create and edit note templates directly in Kubo. When you want something changed, tell Magic Edit what you want in plain English and it makes the edit for you. See Templates.

  • Guided creation. Templates can be generated from your onboarding materials, with a suggested name, the visit reason, and visit time filled in.
  • Faster previews while you build and test.

Dictate

  • Dictate at the cursor. Dictated text lands exactly where your cursor is, matching how the note editor behaves.
  • Single-line fields. Dictate into any field, not just the note body. See Dictate.

Clinical forms

  • Third-molar bone removal surfaces are configurable and only auto-fill when the tooth is impacted.
  • Touch-friendly tooth surface and anatomical inputs for tablets.
  • Sectioning depth can be recorded for extractions.
  • Nerve and sinus exposure documentation is more complete.

PMS Sync

  • WinOMS receives formatted notes. Notes sync to WinOMS as rich text, preserving formatting. See WinOMS.

Account and billing

  • Skip the PIN. Providers who are already signed in can finalize without re-entering a PIN.
  • Annual billing for AI Core is now available.

Performance and design

  • Faster, lighter app. Modals, panels, and notifications were rebuilt to use less memory and feel snappier.
  • Compact navigation bar frees up screen space.
  • New Kubo Surgical logo.

Patient kiosk

  • Preview mode shows forms the way patients will see them.
  • New patient fields and deep links that take patients straight to the right form.
