Hygiene visits, and consents that recommend themselves

February was about the people and procedures around the surgeon — hygienists getting their own view, and forms that already know what a third molar extraction involves.

Hygiene visits (beta)

Kubo now supports hygiene workflows end to end. Hygienists get a tailored experience: they see only hygiene-relevant visit types and procedures, and non-hygiene sections are hidden automatically when a hygienist is signed in. New procedure forms cover gross debridement, implant maintenance, perio maintenance, and prophylaxis.

Scribe

Diagnoses prefilled for treatment

The treatment workflow has a dedicated diagnosis section. When a treatment visit starts, diagnoses are prefilled automatically, saving time and getting the note right before it is generated.

AI note template selector (pre-release)

A new AI-aware template selector lets you choose from your available templates when starting a visit. Combined with new support for template-based dictation formatting, the note comes back in the structure you expect from the first draft. See Templates.

Clinical note footer

A new setting adds custom footer text to clinical notes, per visit type, so you control what appears at the bottom of every generated note.

Consents

Recommended from the visit

Kubo now recommends relevant consent forms based on the visit context. The consents interface was also refreshed with a more modern look. See Consents.

Procedures

Procedure forms are getting smarter about what follows from what.

• Third molar extractions. A full bony impaction now auto-enables bone removal and pre-selects the correct surfaces.
• Coronectomy selections automatically surface nerve and sinus exposure fields.
• Laser perio surgery forms now include biologics options.

Letters

• Letter templates support patient title placeholders — Ms., Mr., Mx.
• Template assignments moved to their own page in Settings, so they are easier to manage.

Mobile

Native camera capture is now consistent across the app. The file uploader and file selector share the same camera logic, so taking a photo works the same way wherever you are.

Settings and admin

• PMS Connections are accessible directly from Settings, with richer detail for manual connections.
• Access rules have a clearer configuration experience.
• A billing warning appears when adding a new provider, so there are no surprises.
• Ignore specific diagnoses from appearing in workflows with a new setting.
